Time

I am getting used to having more time to myself. Finally. Until last December I was teaching ESL to adults at night and working as an executive assistant during the day.  Now I am working at the library and since my hours are varied I can no longer teach at night. I loved teaching but boy, the schedule was very hard to keep up. I was only with students for 9-12 hours per week, but I spent many, many hours planning lessons, correcting homework, doing paperwork, etc. I had no time for anything else. I would leave the house at 7:30 am and get home at 9:00 pm. I was so tired, I went straight to bed. I miss teaching but I am very happy to be back in a library with some free time to enjoy life.

Things I’m doing with my newly found free time:

• playing with Ruby the Corgi
• reading crime novels
• learning to play guitar
• planning my next trip to Mexico!
